March Geese?Anyone shoot many geese in the new March season? I was out for my first time trying over decoys in a field and had pretty good action. As a newbie, I was pretty bad at calling and getting the geese to commit, but did have enough come and look me over to make it interesting.

March Geese
I got out once. We were set up right on the Susquehanna, in a corn field. We hunted until noon without even hearing a goose! I didn't know it was possible to sit anywhere in this state for 5 hours and not hear a goose but we managed to find it. Apparently the lazy birds were lounging about a half mile away on the river, where they had roosted. Geese are the Frat boys of the waterfowl world. They are loud all night long and then sleep in the next morning. Did you have Moxley with you?
Re: March Geese
Moxley was with me and did great considering how cold it was. By the end she was watching everything that was flying. I really wanted to give her the chance at a retrieve in that situation but my inexperience and impatience when I did get a group that wanted to land cost us the opportunity.
